InLine Chiropractic

Services We Provide

At InLine Chiropractic we provide three types of care to our patients: acute care, corrective care, and preventative or wellness care.

Acute care is designed to get you out of pain only and usually consists of two to eight visits.

Corrective care treats the condition to correct any underlying problems. Every patient is unique and Dr Bennett will design the right treatment schedule for the condition.

Wellness and preventative care is designed to maintain improved physical health, and can prevent problems from occurring. With wellness care, the patient determines the frequency of care based on their needs and can be from twice a month to every six weeks.

Dr. Bennett offers a variety of services and treatments designed to relieve pain and keep your body in alignment. These include:

Active Release Technique (ART)

Active Release TechniqueART is a manual therapy used to evaluate and treat soft tissue injury. Tendons, ligaments, nerves and muscles work together and form a network of layers in the body called the musculoskeletal system. When these soft tissues are damaged or overused, they will often form scar tissue, adhesions, or fibrosis. As a result, muscles will shorten and lose strength, strained tendons can cause tendonitis, and nerves can become "stuck."

Some symptoms of soft tissue damage include loss of strength, pain or soreness, reduced range of motion, numbness, and tingling. Active Release breaks up scar tissue, adhesions, and fibrosis in these soft tissues to help them relax and function properly. Dr. Bennett uses ART to target and relieve tension in specific muscles and tissues.

Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT)

ActivatorSome people don't like the way traditional chiropractic adjustments feel. Occasionally, the popping sound or the quick movements associated with a chiropractic adjustment are uncomfortable.

Dr. Bennett applies low-force techniques, like activator adjusting, for sensitive patients. With an activator adjustment the patient only feels a small click, and it is as effective as a traditional adjustment.

Kinesio Tape

Kinesio tapeKinesio tape is an elastic, latex-free therapeutic tape that can gently extend the healing effects of an adjustment by stabilizing joints and muscles. By taping over and around damaged tissue it improves lymphatic circulation by "lifting" the skin, which speeds healing.

Kinesio tape helps improve posture by retraining postural muscles. Its use can also decrease swelling and bruising after injury, enhance athletic performance, and prevent injury.

Joints outside of the spine can "get stuck," too. Feet, knees, hips, ribs, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and collarbones can all become fixated and cause discomfort. Treating problems with extremities can ease workloads, reduce fatigue, and allow patients to enjoy sports and hobbies. Just like the spine, these joints will benefit from adjustments and soft tissue treatments.

Nerve Entrapments

Nerves control our entire bodies. As you move, nerves glide over, under, and through your bones, muscles, and ligaments while transmitting information to your brain. However, there are some areas in the body that tend to "snag," or grab onto nerves, preventing them from moving freely.

When a nerve becomes snagged, it results in pain when you move. Carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica are two well-known conditions resulting from nerve entrapments, but there are many others that can also be treated at InLine Chiropractic.

Dr. Bennett treats nerve conditions using a combination of techniques including adjustments and other manual therapies.

Massage increases circulation and blood flow to tissues that are tight and sore, enabling them to function better. Massage therapy also removes toxins and increases joint mobility and flexibility. Patients experience a calming affect after massage that helps the body and mind function more efficiently. InLine Chiropractic offers therapeutic and relaxing massage, and also provides therapists trained in Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, and hot stone massage.
