InLine Chiropractic

New Patients

Front doorWhen you arrive for your initial appointment, you will be asked to provide some information about your health history and the nature of your current complaint or reason for your visit. After you complete this process, Dr. Bennett will spend some time talking with you so that he can better understand your condition and any other health concerns you may have.

Once Dr. Bennett has a complete understanding of the history and nature of your complaint, he will perform an examination to evaluate your condition and develop a diagnosis. If necessary, patients may be asked to put on a gown or pair of shorts so the doctor can better assess your condition. After the exam, the doctor will explain his diagnosis and address whether chiropractic treatment is appropriate.

If chiropractic care is deemed appropriate, Dr. Bennett will discuss the specific types of treatment that will be helpful, and a schedule for treatment. If sufficient time is available on the first visit, the doctor will provide treatment. InLine Chiropractic offers many types of therapy, including:

  • Chiropractic manipulation
  • Soft tissue massage (myofascial release, trigger point therapy)
  • Manual Therapy (Active Release Techniques, nerve entrapment therapy
  • Exercise therapy
  • Rehabilitation

If you would like to know more about chiropractic manipulation, please refer to Services.

In contrast to some chiropractors, Dr. Bennett believes that a patient should notice a significant improvement after six to eight visits. If little or no improvement is seen in that timeframe, the doctor will reassess your complaint and provide a recommendation or referral for other treatment.

Generally, it is most effective for a patient to receive treatment more frequently in the early stages of care. We may recommend that you be seen two or three times per week for the first two to three weeks, depending on your individual case.
